Smith's comments have sparked excitement among fans, who have been waiting for a sequel to the original film. Directed by Peter Berg, Hancock starred Smith as a troubled superhero who tries to redeem himself by helping the city of Los Angeles.

While there has been no official announcement from the studio, Smith's hints suggest that a sequel is indeed in development. In 2012, Berg confirmed that a sequel was in the works, with Smith, Michael Mann, and Akiva Goldman all involved in discussions.

Charlize Theron, who starred alongside Smith in the original film, has also expressed interest in reprising her role in a potential sequel. "I'll do it in a heartbeat," she told (link unavailable)

The potential Hancock sequel is just one of several projects that Smith has in the works. The actor recently starred in Bad Boys: Ride or Die and is set to appear in a sequel to I Am Legend, alongside Michael B. Jordan.

While details about the Hancock sequel are still scarce, Smith's enthusiasm and Zendaya's potential involvement have fans eagerly anticipating more news about the project.
